Once you have your perfect design, add/save it to your camera roll. Before you can use it as a cover, you need to add it to your story and then add that story to your Highlights.


Open your profile page and tap on the profile picture to see the story that you want to set as the highlight cover. Then, tap the Highlight icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen.


From here, you can either select an existing highlight or create a new one. To add a new highlight, just Tap the icon, name the highlight, and tap Add.



3. Update the Cover


Once your highlight contains the new design, you can use it as a cover. Tap the highlight that you want to change the cover of and then tap the three dots button in the bottom-right corner of your screen.


In the pop-up menu, select Edit Highlight. From here, you can remove stories that you don’t want the highlight to contain, change the highlight name, and edit the cover.


Select the Edit Cover option and add your new cover design. Reposition the image by dragging it across the screen and then tap Done.


When you go to your profile, you should be able to see the new highlight cover. Repeat this process for every highlight and you’ll give your profile a more branded look.

Each name can contain up to 16 characters, so the important thing is to keep the names short. This ensures a cleaner look and makes browsing through your highlights more effortless. One to two words is ideal, so always try to shorten the name as much as possible.
